Aciphex is used for treating Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), symptoms of which include heart burns. It is administered orally in the form of tablets and is useful mainly in treating patients with established ulcerative GERD; it is also used to maintain healing in patients with ulcerative GERD.
