Bystolic Drug Information

Bystolic is a medication used in the management of Hypertension in adults. Hypertension is usually treated with a combination of several drugs. This generic medication maybe used as stand-alone medication or maybe administered in combination with other antihypertensive medication. Pharmacologically, its actions are brought about by the blockade of β adrenergic receptors. Although this medication does have the potential to block both β1 and β2 receptors, in most people (who metabolize the drug fairly extensively) it is a β1 selective blocker.

Bystolic Dosage Information

Nebivolol as an anti-hypertensive drug is usually prescribed at individualized doses for patients. The recommended daily dose at the start of treatment is generally 5 mg each day. Although, this dose could up to 40 mg, over a two week interval in those patients whose hypertensive status justifies such an increase in dose. Cheap Bystolic tablets can be purchased from North Meds. Discount Bystolic is available in doses of 5 mg that you can order right away.

Side Effects and Precautions for Bystolic

Side effects commonly seen with Bystolic are hypercholesterolemia, asthenia, abdominal discomfort and paraesthesia. Adverse effects can, in certain cases, be dose dependent. For instance, in trials performed with this medication, Bradycardia was seen more in patients who consumed 20 mg to 40 mg of this drug as compared to those who consumed 10 mg tablets. Patients suffering from impaired liver and kidney function must be cautious before they buy Bystolic and consume it.

In such patients, the recommended dose is usually 2.5 mg.β blocking agent are generally associated with a property of “masking” certain systemic disorders such as hypoglycemia and thyrotoxicosis. Therefore, patients with other established illnesses must be evaluated carefully before being put on Nebivolol. Also, patients who are on treatment with this drug leading into surgery must be closely monitored at the time of administering general anesthesia as this medication could precipitate attacks of myocardial infarction.
