Cellcept Oral Suspension

* MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL

Cellcept Drug Information

In patients receiving transplants of organs, there is a very real possibility of organ rejection. Cellcept is indicated for use in such patients as prophylaxis for an organ rejection reaction. This medication is most commonly prescribed to patients requiring renal, hepatic or cardiac transplants. This formulation is known to make allogeneic transplants last longer. The generic drug brings about its action by causing a reversal of the reaction that leads to acute rejection of the graft by inhibiting inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase. It is available in the form of tablets and is rapidly absorbed through the oral route.

Cellcept Dosage Information

A daily dose of 2 g is recommended as being the ideal dose for prophylaxis. But Mycophenolate Mofetil preparation of up to 3 g a day was demonstrated to be safe and yet effective. This recommended dose is usually consumed as two separate doses in a day. There are dose variations between different organ transplants but is usually within 0.5 g to 1 g of the recommended dose. Discount Cellcept is available in doses of 250 mg and 500 mg. Order cheap Cellcept from North Meds for the lowest of prices and the nest of service.

Side Effects and Precautions for Cellcept

Mycophenolate Mofetil is known to cause adverse reactions such as decrease in white blood cell count, diarrhea, opportunistic infections and sepsis. Malignancies like lymphomas and other lyphoproliferative disorders are rare possibilities with the use of Cellcept. Since this is an immunosuppressive drug, extreme care must be taken while prescribing it. It is suggested that only those doctors who are experienced in the field of organ transplants prescribe this drug as it can cause some serious side effects. Patients who buy Cellcept and use it must carefully monitored for the development of any signs of malignancy. This medication is also known to have cross reactions with a wide range of other drugs and therefore, an accurate drug history must be elicited.
