Creon 25 is a pancreatic enzyme drug. The drug is used for treating patients with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. This insufficiency may be a result of cystic fibrosis, pancreatectomy, chronic pancreatitis, gastrointestinal surgery (bypass surgery) or any other reason. The drug is for oral administration only. The generic drug is a mix of three enzymes. These enzymes are the lipase, amylase and protease enzymes. The drug acts by replacing these three enzymes within the body.
