Denavir Drug Information

Denavir is an anti-viral drug. It is known to be a guanine analogue. It is used for treating herpes labialis (cold sores) which are recurrent in nature. The drug is recommended for use in children who are 12 years of age and above and in adults. This generic drug is effectively used for treating infections caused due to various kinds of herpes viruses. The drug acts by interfering with the activities of the virus that causes herpes labialis. The drug is effective against HSV-1 (herpes-simplex virus-1) and HSV-2 (herpes-simplex virus-2). This is a prescription drug and Denavir is easily available with North Meds.

Denavir Dosage Information

Denavir drug is meant for topical use only. It is administered in the form of a cream. The recommended dose of the drug is one application of the cream, every 2 hours.
