Imitrex Nasal Spray is a drug falling under the medical group of triptans. It is used for treating acute migraine attacks and is the only therapy that relieves not only the headache but its accompanying symptoms as well – nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light or sound. The generic drug is also a serotonin 5-HT receptor agonist performing its function by manipulating natural chemical serotonin.
