Lumigan Drug Information
The drug is a synthetic prostamide analog with ocular hypotensive activity used to reduce severe intraocular hypertension owing to glaucoma or other eye diseases. The drug helps to prevent blindness or visual loss by treating eye pressure. The result is manifested approximately 4 hours after administration and significant pressure reduction is observed 8 - 12 hours later. Lumigan may be used concomitantly with other topical ophthalmic drugs to lower intraocular pressure.
