Matulane Drug Information

Matulane is anti-cancer (anti-neoplastic) drug. It is used for chemotherapy. The drug is recommended for treating Hodgkin’s disease, which is in its stage III and stage IV. The drug may be used in a combination, along with other anti-cancer agents. The generic drug is used as a part of a regimen called MOPP (that is nitrogen-mustard, vincristine, procarbazine and prednisone). The precise mode of action of the drug is not yet known. However, it is suggested that the drug induces its effects by inhibiting the synthesis of protein, DNA as well as RNA. The drug is a prescription drug. North Meds now offers Matulane at a discount.

Matulane Dosage Information

For treating adults, the recommended dose of Matulane is 2 mg per kg to 4 mg per kg per day, for the 1st week. This initial dose is administered as a single dose or in divided doses. Then the dose is maintained at 4 mg per kg to 6 mg per kg per day. In pediatric patients, 50 mg/m2 is recommended for the 1st week. Thereafter, the dose is maintained at 100 mg/m2. North Meds offers cheap rates for Matulane and the drug is available at a standard dose of 50 mg.
