Neupro Drug Information
The drug is available as skin patches used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease at initial stages. The patches can be used for 24 hours after which they should be replaced. Neupro counters low dopamine levels in the brain and alleviates the following Parkinson’s symptoms: muscle tremors, limb stiffness, lack of coordination, loss of movement control.
Neupro Drug Dosage
The initial dosage is 2 mg for a period of 24 hours. If it is established that the patient can tolerate the dosage, it can be increased in 2 mg increments every 24 hours, on a weekly basis. The lowest effective dosage is 4 mg for 24 hours. The highest Rotigotine dosage is 6 mg for 24 hours. Side Effects and Precautions for Neupro
