Nexavar Drug Information

The drug belongs to the group of tyrosine kinase inhibitors and is used to treat advanced stage cancer, in cases of liver or kidney tumors (unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma or advanced renal carcinoma). Nexavar is effective in blocking the growth of tumors by means of targeting surface enzymes and enzymes inside cancer cells.

Nexavar Drug Dosage

The daily dosage is 400 mg, taken twice daily. Administration continues until the patient stops benefiting from Sorafenib. In the event that unacceptable toxicity levels are reached it should be discontinued, and if the further administration is mandatory, the dosage should be reduced. If further reduction is necessary, the dosage should be reduced to 400 mg every other day. When other drugs, especially CYP3A4 inducers, are administered in conjunction with the drug, the dosage may have to be increased as they may reduce the efficiency of the drug. Patients can buy Nexavar in the dosage of 200 mg. With North Meds customers have the opportunity to obtain cheap Nexavar as a generic drug in the dosage of 200 mg, or choose the brand medication, also in the dosage of 200 mg.

Side Effects and Precautions for Nexavar

Patients on discount Nexavar should discuss with their physicians how to overcome these side effects. More adverse side effects may occur such as heart attacks.

For that reason patients with a history of heart disease should consult their physicians prior to taking the drug. It is to be avoided by patients on anticoagulant therapy, pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers. Aspirin should not be taken by patients on Sorafenib. Prior to any vaccination patients taking it should consult their physician.
