Prevacid Drug Information:
Prevacid is a medicine - a member of a drug family called proton pulp inhibitors (PPI). These inhibitors restrain enzyme production in the stomach walls and slow down or totally prevent the secretion of acids in the stomach. The generic medicament is used for general treatment of stomach ulcers, intestinal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease and reflux esophagitis. Side Effects and Precautions for Prevacid:
Lansoprazole as any other PPI is relatively well-accepted by patients. In rare cases, several serious conditions might occur: chest pain, irregular heartbeat, skin rash or itches, sore throat, vision problems, abnormal bleeding or bruising, fatigue or liver problems.
