Purinethol Drug Information:

Purinethol is an anti-cancer chemotherapy drug belonging to the group of medicines also known as purine antagonists. It is also categorized as an antimetabolite (a member of a medical family of cancer-fighting medicaments). The generic medicine is usually used in combination with other drugs to fight acute myelogenous leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia and to treat chronic granulocytic leukemia. The medicament works by retarding cancer cells growth, hampering cells to spread in the body and slowly leading to their annihilation. In certain cases the physician might prescribe the drug for treating other conditions such as ulcerative colitis, lymphoblastic lymphoma or Crohn’s disease.

Purinethol Dosage Information:

The average daily dose of Mercaptopurine is individual for each patient and depends on body weight, height, medical response to treatment, other medicaments that have been administered, personal health and current condition of the patient. The common initial single dose of cheap Purinethol is between 1.5 mg/kg and 2.5 mg/kg daily. Purinethol daily dose should be taken at the same time every day, with a full glass of water, on an empty stomach. Patients are free to get their discount Purinethol single dosages of 50 mg at North Meds.

Side Effects and Precautions for Protonix:

The majority of patients treated with Mercaptopurine do not experience any side effects. In cases when side effects occur they are generally temporary and fade away quickly after the course of treatment. Among the less serious side effects of Purinethol are loss of appetite, loss of hair, skin rash, light diarrhea or nausea. Patients should immediately stop using the medicament and call their doctor if they have flu symptoms, fever, chills, intensive heart rate, heavy diarrhea or vomiting, severe stomach pain, jaundice, white patches inside the mouth, easy bleeding or bruising. Patients who buy Purinethol and use it should not have any immunization or vaccination done, without prior doctor’s consent. Neither men, nor women should conceive a child when using the medicament. This drug administration during pregnancy and nursing is absolutely prohibited.
