Rebif Drug Information

The generic drug is a purified aminoacid glycoprotein by DNA recombination technology using genetic engineering. It is used to treat relapses of multiple sclerosis and comes in the form of prefilled syringe for subcutaneous injection. The effect is not curing the disease, but the intensity of the symptoms is reduced and the accumulation of physical activity is delayed. It is important for patients to have frequent blood checks as well as regular liver and thyroid checks.

Rebif Drug Dosage

The dosage varies from 22 mcg up to 44 mcg, injected subcutaneously thrice per week, preferably at the same time. A minimum of 48 hours should elapse between the two doses.
