Suprefact injection is used to block LHRH receptor synthesis. This medicine is a synthetic analog of GnRH or Gonadotropin-releasing hormone. This drug is administered to patients with prostate cancer of grade C or D. GnRH combines with LHRH receptors in the pituitary glands and secretes sex hormones like FSH and LH in men. These hormones are aid in production of testosterone in the testis and sperm formation. This generic medicine is prescribed only for patient’s hormone-dependent prostate cancer in palliative therapy.
