Symbicort is a long a long acting beta-2 agonist that is used mainly in the long term maintenance treatment of asthma. Side Effects and Precautions for Symbicort
Since one of the components of this preparation is Formoterol, there is a risk of asthma related death, as with all long acting Beta-2 agonists. Headaches, nasopharyngitis, Upper respiratory tract infections, influenza, sinusitis, back pain and vomiting are other side effects seen with this Budesonide/Formoterol preparation.
