Tnkase Drug Information

Tnkase belongs to the plasminogen activators or TPAs class of drugs. This drug enables the body to enhance the production of plasmin. Plasmin is a substance that can help in dissolving blood clots. This drug is also used in the treatment and prevention of death from heart attack or acute myocardial infarction. It is important to use this drug as recommended by your doctor. Any failure to do so can lead to serious health complications.

Side Effects and Precautions for Tnkase

Tenecteplase can cause a few serious side effects like irregular heartbeats, coughing of blood, bleeding nose, blood in the urine or stool, bleeding due to a recent injury or surgical incision and reeling sensation. This generic drug may also cause a few rare but serious side effects like nausea, vomiting, back pain, severe stomach pains, sudden numbness, chest pain, confusion, discoloration of legs and toes, mood swings, quick heart beat, blurred vision and speech, muscle pains and loss of bowel and bladder control. If you have any of these rare but serious side effects, seek immediate medical attention.

Before using Tnkase inform your doctor if you are allergic to it or any other drugs. Prior to using Tenecteplase, discuss with your doctor if you have a history of kidney disease, liver disease, blood vessel disorder in the eye, infection in the lining of the heart, high blood pressure, or a history of stomach and urinary bleeding. Also, discuss if you suffer from blood clotting disorders, brain cancer or any brain or spinal cord injury or surgery. Do not start on Tnkase if you are pregnant or planning for a pregnancy without first discussing with your doctor.

Tnkase Dosage Information

Tnkase 50 mg is available as an intravenous injection at a discount at North Meds. The recommended dosage is usually based on the weight of the patient and should not exceed 50 mg. One bolus dose should be administered over 5 seconds depending upon the weight of the patient. As and when required, your doctor may make changes to the recommended dosage.
