Vexol Drug Information

Vexol is an ophthalmic suspension belonging to the class of medicaments called corticosteroids. It is used to treat certain eye inflammations caused by injury, infections or other factors (a condition known as anterior uveitis). The generic drug is also used after eye surgeries – curing postoperative inflammation and reducing redness and swelling of the eyes. The medicament, like any other steroid, acts by oppressing the inflammation and therefore relieving the pain and the swelling of the inflamed area. Its suppressive function might lead to a few adverse effects that need to be reported to the healthcare provider.

Vexol Dosage Information

Recommended dose of Rimexolone when used postoperatively is one or two drops applied into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye every four hours, starting at least 24 hours after surgery. Recommended dose of cheap Vexol in cases of anterior uveitis is one or two drops applied into the conjunctival sac of the inflamed eye every awake hour for the first week and every 2 hours for the second week. Application of Vexol drops should become less frequent until uveitis is totally cured. 1% suspension of discount Vexol is now available for patients’ use at North Meds.
