Zyprexa IM Drug Information
Zyprexa IM is an atypical antipsychotic medicament applied as an intramuscular injection. It is administered for short-term treatment of a certain psychotic disorder – sudden severe mental excitement associated with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. The generic drug helps patients overcome the momentary mental agitation by acting on the neurotransmitters (brain natural substances) and restoring their balance. It can only be used as a short-term psychiatric medicine. A continuous treatment of symptoms caused by schizophrenia or bipolar disorder would require prescription of a different medicament. The drug cannot be used for patients suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Zyprexa IM Dosage Information
Recommended primary dosage of Olanzapine is 5 mg or 10 mg when injected on adults. Recommended initial dosage of Zyprexa IM when applied on children (over 13 years-old) is 2.5 mg or 5 mg. The dosage of cheap Zyprexa IM can be adjusted for receiving better results but only at one-week intervals and by 5 mg step. Discount Zyprexa IM can now be bought from North Meds in single dosage of 10 mg.
